Local churches
We have always recognized the importance of local churches in their communities, especially when reflecting on some words that Jesus said to those who followed Him.
“You are the light of the world… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”. Mattthew 5:14 and 16
So it is essential that local churches are equipped with the resources that enables their light in Christ Jesus to shine out into their local communities, with the Good News of God’s salvation being heard by all.
We don’t do this alone, but together with other parts of God’s Church. Here is a summary of what we seek to do.
Local churches

Bible commentaries
Opening up the Bible in a way that helps us all to understand what God is wanting to say to us is very important and rewarding. We are therefore very grateful for the valuable help of Manna Publications with their very practical and easy to read Bible commentaries in different languages.
We have been privileged to assist in the translating, printing and distribution of these commentaries in the Portuguese language over a considerable number of years.
Manna Publications also produces the commentaries in some local languages. These commentaries are a very valuable resource for local church leaders in their important task of teaching and equipping their local congregations with God’s.

Beaconlight
With the support of Beaconlightwe have been able to print and distribute two very helpful publications.
One is a simple and very effective booklet called CROSSCHECK that enables people to understand why Jesus died for us all on the cross.
Then there is a very good follow up Bible study called TRUTH UNLOCKED that enables people to have sound understanding of the important truths that are contained in God’s Word.
These resources are a huge help, including in prisons and among students, as well as helping greatly in equipping people in their local churches.

Scripture Union
Since 1992 it has been a privilege for us to be able to work together with Scripture Union (União Bíblica) in Portugal. Scripture Union often provide us with back copies of Bible reading notes for children, youth and adults.
These we have shipped out to Mozambique and to other Portuguese speaking countries in Africa whenever there is an opportunity. One booklet that Scripture Union in Portugal produces is titled, “Pão do Céu” (Bread of Heaven). It contains Bible readings with accompanying notes for a full year and is produced specifically for Portuguese speaking African countries.
In the past we have posted small quantities of posted small quantities of this excellent guide to Mozambique. However, this year (2025) it was been a huge joy for us to have 2,000 copies of the 2025 edition of “Pão do Céu” printed specifically for Mozambique. In addition to all the above resources, we have literature resources that we have prepared for all age groups by ourselves and friends.
Included in these resources are simple but effective bible courses. These were distributed in the centre of Mozambique by one of our faithful workers called Inácio who we sadly lost in 2023. Some of our audio/visual resources which can be accessed through the link below.
